Seepage control castables is made of clay clinker as refractory aggregate, tertiary bauxite clinker as refractory powder, adding superfine powder, CA-50 cement as binder, and adding dispersant and siliceous or feldspar impermeable agent. The material is mainly used in the working layer of high temperature kiln, which can prevent the penetration of permeable raw materials to the kiln, and also protect the thermal insulation layer.
Impervious castable is a very widely used castable in aluminum melting furnace at present, the main reason is that aluminum solution has very strong permeability and activity, if you do not add a layer of impervious layer, then it is very easy to penetrate the castable, the working layer and insulation brick damage, thus affecting the service life of the furnace.
Seepage control castables is widely used in the working layer of the medium contact of the furnace such as melting casting furnace, heating furnace, soaking furnace and heat treatment furnace.General Properties
